ABOUT ME
About Me
My career has never followed a straight line, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
For more than 25 years, I've built experience across marketing, advertising, television, editorial, design, drone aviation and emerging technologies. What connects each chapter is a curiosity to learn, a willingness to step outside my comfort zone, and a belief that meaningful opportunities often exist just beyond the familiar.
One of the most rewarding chapters of that journey was founding Professional Drone Imagery Pty Ltd, where I served as CEO and Chief Remote Pilot from 2024 to 2026. As one of fewer than 30 female-led Remote Operator's (ReOC holder) in Australia, I had the opportunity to combine creativity, drone aviation, safety and compliance, technology and business while building an award-nominated company from the ground up.
In 2025, I was named a finalist in the Small Business Hub FLARE Awards Next Generation Leader category, while Professional Drone Imagery was recognised as a finalist in the IMB Illawarra Business Awards Outstanding New Business category during its first year of operation.
Then, just as unexpectedly as my journey into drone aviation began, another opportunity emerged. Now, October 2026, I accepted a new mission that has led me away from business ownership and as a Remote Operator into an exciting new chapter and opportunity within the aviation safety and compliance sector. I will reveal more once I find my feet and settle into the new role and company.
The foundation of Professional Drone Imagery was built on three simple values: Safety. Compliance. Integrity. Those values remain part of who I am today and have helped guide me toward opportunities that align with both my professional ambitions and personal principles. Creating my drone business gave me the new opportunities that I would never have had, so now one door closes and another one opens, it’s time to trust the process - yet again!
This website is not a business storefront for my services anymore, I’m evolving (yet again) as too my website will evolve with me. It is a professional portfolio and a record of a career shaped by curiosity, resilience and a willingness to embrace change. Here you'll find photography, projects, achievements, experiences and lessons gathered throughout a professional journey that has crossed industries, disciplines and technologies.
In time, I'll also be sharing my new journey through blog articles and reflections when I have time and inspiration to do create a dialogue. My hope is that others may find encouragement in the idea that careers don't have to follow a traditional path. Whether you're considering a career change, starting a business, learning a new skill, or taking a calculated risk, sometimes the most rewarding opportunities come from saying yes to something that feels just beyond reach.
If my story demonstrates anything, it's that age (I am 52 this year - 2026), gender and conventional expectations don't have to define what is possible. The path less travelled is often the one that teaches us the most.
